SO UH. HEY. It's been a while. Like, a looong while. XD Updating my dA journal is no more than an exercise in nostalgia, but I figured, Why not? I've been working as a Machine Operator at Bob's Red Mill WHQ since April 2020. HUGE improvement over my previous job (some of you will remember that I'd worked as a sample coordinator in an asbestos lab). I had a hell of a time adjusting to a 12-hour rotating shift, but I still love not dealing with customers and having full days off between stints. Sooooo what have I been up to? WELL. I am no longer pursuing art as a career, and I will likely not publish my stories at this point. Brainsick and my other head worlds are self-therapeutic, and, as such, are stuck in a perpetual loop of retroactive continuity. They work better as series of vignettes rather than full narratives. I am still drawing, but my knack for brutally comparing myself to others remains, despite being in therapy for a year and deleting my social media accounts in

2019 has been a weird year for me. I've had more highs and lows than previous years. The highs have included:  Emerald City Comic Con (attendee) Furlandia (Dealers' Den) - my best convention so far beach trips with family and friends roller skating almost every week reuniting with friends I hadn't spoken with in six years solo and group hikes commissions from friends and fans <3 my family and friends in general   The lows have included:  Draco, my elder bearded dragon, passed away my Grandpa Jeff passed away - he was my last grandparent my uncle being hospitalized for a TIA, or mini-stroke Mom being hospitalized for a complicated migraine
