I used two exemplary books - The Complete Book of Hummingbirds by Tony Tilford and Hummingbirds of Costa Rica by Michael and Patricia Fogden - for reference.

Koh-I-Noor Rapdiograph technical pens (sizes 3x0 and 00) for the lineart (hummingbird only)

X-Acto knife for minor corrections / scraping
